Go forth and be social
The quest to set up a customised social website (think Metrotwin) has become a whole lot easier as SocialGO today announced that it is now in OpenBETA.
This much anticipated bespoke social network maker is free to use and allows people to create a customised social website for any group, topic, business or theme. With a simple, easy to use design and a load of useful features you can have a network set up within a few minutes.
Having been in intense development for twelve months and having reached over 1,000 social networks already, SocialGO seems set to make a refreshing impact on the social networking scene.

Hmm - I think you'd struggle to create Metrotwin with SocialGO. It looks like another Ning to me. When you play around with these tools you realise that although they offer great flexibility and even though you can even branch them and customise it to your own unique needs, it often takes as much time as creating it from scratch. I don't think that big FTSE 100 companies would want to use stuff like this either - they'd want to know where the data sits, they'd be worried about the Patriot Act, they'd want to host it themselves in line with their own IT policies. Great for families and football teams but not not the right tool for creating a high-end, bespoke social utility. We would say that of course, as we designed Matrotwin.com. ;-)
Just as the FTSE 100 won't rely on SocialGo for its web presence, the local school can't afford 'a bespoke social utility'- isn't the world lucky that there is something for everyone;-)
what nicky told was right .why the world is lucky enough to get something for every one.
